FACT. A lot of money was raised on Friday night despite the enormous outlay by the pub and hard work by management and staff who made the evening so much fun. Everybody is to be congratulated on their efforts. Barcombe Primary School will be coming down to the pub tomorrow as the first Primary School to collect their cheque from the money raised.

Liken it to someone driving onto your driveway and sitting down on your front lawn and having a picnic without asking your permission and then getting abuse hurled at you when told that the carpark and field are for patrons use. How would you react? We are a business open for half the year. All the fields around this area are owned by someone. The majority have animals grazing on them. They affect people's livelihoods and the death in animals when ingesting litter left behind by non thinking people. There is a perfectly good public carpark at Barcombe Mills where you can have picnics, put boats in the water without affecting businesses and animals alike. We are a busy quirky pub which may not appeal to everyone. If this is the case don't moan and go somewhere else. We all work very hard to give everyone of our customers a lovely day. The good comments always outweigh the bad. Please remember when you say your vicious hurtful things how you affect the family members. Maybe if you sat behind your computers and impacted the community in a positive way you would be happier people. Oh by the way my name is Kathy and I work here.
