Probably the best bet is the local butcher, assuming that sausages aren't an excuse for getting rid of all the horrible bits. I did a stint in a butchers shop delivering "lights", "sweetbreads" wrapped up in newspaper - not to mention the brawn, tongue and the other delicacies. Not much to choose between the faggots (the edible sort), the sausages or the pasties when it came to the mincer. Then there's always a nice Fray Bentos "steak" pie, corned beef, tinned frankfurters or Spam. Or Walls "sausages"
As for farm shops, about as authentic as French markets. A bit like a trip to the garden centre to buy a plant pot.
