If I saw traffic wardens clearing snow, I'd suspect they were only doing it to expose the yellow lines so they could isue tickets.

All I've seen is community-minded members of the public clearing the pavements outside their front doors. Lucky old council that can tax us and then leave us to do the job for ourselves.

Sorry "EatingChocolate" you're wrong, it was the CEOs, they weren't allowed to work thats true but instead they WERE set to work clearing the snow.

they are only earning a crust to feed their families someone has to do the job otherwise all you car owners would park anywhere and working for NCP a crust is all they can afford coz NCP dont pay much for all the grief and hassle they get.

yep i can confirm there were traffic warren's as 4 of them were in castle lane in full uniform shovelling and sweeping and also 1 told me that they had to do it yesterday as there bosses didnt want them paid for sitting at house doing nothing .i bet ncp is not a great company to work for ..i also saw more in the hight street making the council more money by giving out there tickets.maybe the council should use that money to buy more salt and grit for the next cold spell so the streets etc will be clear (but i wont be holding my breath).
