It never made sense to me to have the taxi rank at the front of the station anyway. If you're leaving the station then you could easily be sign posted to leave via the giant car park which could have space for a taxi rank. It's people dropping off that need to be pulling up by the ticket office so that they can buy their tickets.

A cabbie scolding people for inconsiderate parking. Now there's a thing.

To commuter. That's pointless too as the ticket office is soon to be closed. Good old Southern

Collected my son from the station this evening. Avoided the taxi rank - obviously because I'm not a taxi but ended up parked on the zebra crossing zigzags which is illegal and the car behind me parked across the Keep Clear. Why is there no where to pick up st the station??

Why is it so difficult to work out which taxis are for hire and which ones are already booked.?
Why do you only pick up from only one of the entrances.? Especially when there is such a large car park to use
Why is the parking outside the station at such an angle that you can't really see if there is a space is avaliable when coming down the road.?
Why would I drop someone off in the large car park if they need to buy a ticket or they are going to Brighton or London..
Yeah of course we will do what you suggest.

You people do qall know there's a ticket machine by the car park entrance, right? It's been there several years in fact, although recently they moved it out into the actual carpark whereas before it was on the platform. Still, no need to get dropped at the top to buy a ticket.

You do know the ticket machines don't offer the cheapest tickets until a few pages in? They're there somewhere but you have to be lucky to find them, it's hard even if you know exactly what you're after. If you don't know what you're after its much easier to queue and it saves you paying £20 when £3.50 tickets are there somewhere...

Taxis do not park legally outside the station. They should park parallel to the pavement within marked lines. Why don't they do this. Because they think they own the road there.

A few weeks ago I witnessed a rather nasty bit of road rage between a Lewes Taxi Driver, and an elderly couple, who reversed into his taxi in the Cliffe. Several people stepped in after he went upto their car shouting and almost rippping off their wing mirror, It must of been terrifying for them. A good job there were people around to comfort them. This outburst was for a very minor incident, can't imagine what he would have done if they had seriously damaged his car.

Bob I assume you couldn't find anywhere to park because of all the buses replacing the Seaford Trains? Same thing happened me so I waited at the mountfield road car park. I didn't park in the taxi rank either !
