I see Tesco and On the run have increased their petrol by 2p per litre in the last 2 weeks, probably less that 2 weeks.
So, is the plan to delay any price drop when the price of crude is dropping, then when crude is on the up again just add more to the petrol at the very earliest opportunity. Is it strange how their storage tanks must need refilling sooner when the petrol price is on the up? I'd have thought the opposite frankly. Still, I guess the government approve of this practise as they rake off considerable revenue from petrol sales.

The price goes up in a flash, yet, as you state, when the crude price drops, virtually motionless. Any decrease in price is very s-l-o-w-w-w-w-w-w out of the blocks.
The joy of motoring is long gone. Too many price hikes on fuel, vehicle insurance. And when you can afford to pop out in the old jalopy, you don't get very far, or very quickly either, because of road works or bus & cycle lanes nearly everywhere you go.

Best wait until you are in Eastbourne, or some other time where there is not a cartel selling price.
