The con club has got quite a large dance floor and a great sound system. Not sure if the malling community centre is still going but they had good facilities the last time I attended an event there. That was a little while ago mind. Commercial Square did a great job of the bar too.

had my 18th just a few weeks ago at the southdown sports club, great venue- probably the most trendy place you can get in the town

Zu Studios pah, I am sure you had a great wedding dressed in rags with no shoes on. I am sure your guests appreciated the stench that place lets off too. WOW!

Pass the parcel, Jelly and ice cream and The Hokey Cokey. You don't need a venue at 18. You need a pub crawl.

Well, Dixie Normus, I'm over 70, it was daughter's wedding, we were all ages including children. we had a great time, and no, it didn't smell. Frankly we were all alarmingly middle class ... I suspect you haven't been there ... Just passing on comment about the vans behind. Our guests sat outside in front and behind and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Martin and his team were helpful and courteous. It would be a great place for an 18th birthday. They have a license and proper fire precautions. The fire Officer has visited and passed Zu Studios for parties and events.

Amon, I must say, I have been there and whilst there witnessed some very strange goings on, which I will not comment on. However, that said, it was the early hours of a Sunday morning on what I beleive is one of the more 'wild' events that take place there. As long as you all had a good time, then that is all that matters, I just have my own opinions on what the space looks/smells like and how I, as a Lewesian, would prefer the space to be used. I apologise for any offence caused in my previous post.

I've looked at their website and the place looks like a fire trap/ I'm sure the seating isn't flameproof to start with, all those old arm chairs from furniture now, as for the clutter, I'm surprised its got a fire cert.

I do not know good venues but I can recommend a great florist who delivered the birthday flowers on my behalf. The flower shop is called Send Flowers and covers our area. I ordered the flowers online and they were delivered the next day.
