what did every1 think of the event on neville green ? i thought it was good although slightly ruined by foul mouthed people from a certain bonfire society having a rather public slanging match not what you want at a family event.

yes i saw a bit of an unpleasant exchange between a few individuals which i was a bit miffed off about as i had my 2 small nephews with me and didnt think the language was appropriate for the time or place - they obviously dont have any pride in themselves or their society. Apart from that we had a nice time.

I do hate it when people do that, leaving you hanging there, if you cant tell the whole story, be quiet. Have you not the balls to say which society it was.

If its the barny I heard it was some guy starting something who wanted nothing more than to cause grief, he's not in a Society but apparently wants to join Waterloo! So he's not commercial :-)

Name and shame an individual , just because they belong to a group , he/she/they might be involved in lots of groups organisations etc or in fact none at all ' so why try to make it a society's problem , and spoil what was in fact a very nice day , well done

From what I witness over the weekend, nothing came any where near the Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society (NJBS) contribution to the Queens Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, Yes the Cliffe Bonfire Society did Tea and Cakes which was fun, wont mention the L.C. words though !
Just do not understand why, that a Town like Lewes rich with affluent inhabitants either in money or personal skills could not have got together and put on a show worthy of the occasion.
I am not a Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society (NJBS) member or a DFL by the way, but 99.9% a Lewisian.

The Town Council donated £1800.00 to the cost of the fireworks but do not seem to have had their contribution aknowledged on the posters. That doesn't seem fair to me.
