I really wanted a Girls World (what a ghastly thing that was!), a spiro graph, a real Paddington Bear with red wellie boots and one of those electronic games - i think it was called Simon? Circular, with four coloured buttons, that you had to copy a sequence.......I got none of them and envied my friends that did!!!

I wanted a Barbie but mum didn't approve 'cos she was a 'strange' shape. I had a Sindy instead.

LOL I had Sindys too - for exactly that reason. Barbie was too risque for my conservative parents! I inherited Tiny Tears from my sisters but their eyes kept falling out. Oh and the Sindys were subjected to my early attempts at hairdressing and were never the same again.
When I was about 8 I cam home from Brownies and my mum had given away my My Little Tree House - which was the first new thing I could remember getting (hand me down-tastic). I'd clearly outgrown it by then, but I was GUTTED!

Myself and my sister wanted to get the entire Barbie collection, which would have cost an absolute fortune from Argos!
