Hi Greta.
If you look along the red bar at the top of this page, there is the 'Free Ads' section.
If you put exactly what you have above and your contact number or E mail address then at least if someone has found it they can get in touch with you.
There are a couple of free publications in Lewes that I will put you in contact with.
This is a widely read forum. You came to the right place!
Good luck.

It's probably under 4 inches of ice and snow at the moment, hope someone finds it for you when we thaw out.

Thanks you all for the help and the prompt answers..
to Chuck and Annette: yes the Black Lion Inn, an old pub with only a few rooms upstairs..the owner an older seaman with great white mustaches...the address book might be there...i could only contact them by phone a couple of days after we realized we had lost the address book..they weren't very helpful
and seemed bored by the whole thing
to helpful: great tip, the "free ads" i'll do that.
to TDA: snow..yes, i hadn't thought of that...the darn thing got lost on Dec 29th though, let's be optimistic...
Tomorrow, if possible i can upload somewhere a photo of a similar address book, that would make the job easier
Waste removal? Tourist Office? Maybe and maybe?
Again thanks to you all
Greta & Marco

Perhaps we should have a central collection box in a pub? Would that work? Like someone mentioned there's a village where people hang up found keys at a central location. We hardlly can drop-off things at an unstaffed police station..

Hi Greta
You can use the photo upload page at www.lewes.co.uk/Upload.aspx to send an image of a similar address book if you like.

A notice in Richards the butchers window wouldn't go amiss would it.Apparently 70% of British households do not have internet access....Is it really that much?
And I have mailed her the Sussex Police number. You never know, someone may have handed it in.
