Did anyone see a Hercules or B52 (or a big old plane of some sort) banking hard right and descending towards Barcombe (flying east) about 12.15 today? I was driving over the Cooksbridge level crossing towards Chailey and had to pull over as I really thought it was low enough to crash as it looked like it was struggling. It was really scary.

Might have been the Stroude's new run-a-bout, heard they were buying more land and a B52 may be needed to clear the birds off the sweetcorn....

Yes we saw it over Ringmer about that time - low enough and loud enough to frighten my little boy.
I also wondered whether it was going to crash!

My wife saw this plane at about 12:05pm flying over the A27 north of barham, so the timings match up as it is about 30 miles in a straight line from there to barcoombe. I showed her a picture of a hercules and she said it was definately one of them. must of been a low flying training exercise.
My wife thought the same thing, it looked like it was about to crash, scared her to bits.
