It was awful weather yesterday. He may have taken shelter in a shed on the allotments. Have allotment owners checked? Paws crossed for Alfie's safe return.

Hope someone will post news of Alfie on here soon, would be nice to hear he has been found safe & well. Always worth ringing vets etc in surrounding towns as someone could pick him up on route through town & take him to own local vet, not all organisations are spot on at sharing info so best to do own contacting too just to make double sure.
Also circulating pictures & posters everywhere is big help as prompts even people who have no idea of dogs & breed types by description alone. Good luck Alfie.

Simone that is possible and judging from the advice and threads on twitter not uncommon. Also consider that the dog warden is often very difficult to get hold of when you find a stray so he may be being cared for by someone, we can only hope. Twitter has been amazing with many, many Lewes/local poeple taking a view of Alfies poster which at this time has had 1701 views.
Simone it breaks my heart to think of your beautiful gentle Alfie out there all alone. Fingers crossed for you.
Please get him listed on Doglost. co.uk they have a massive net work of contacts who will help to trace Alfie and print out additional posters to place up in their area. Doglost is a great way for people to stay informed of the status of a lost dog and provide support and info.
Good luck. x
