They have started with the double yellows in landport to enable the buses to get round. On the whole not a bad idea but be warned this is just a pre-plan to enable the council to "offer" us a way out of our "parking problems??" by charging us (TAXING) £50

I lived in Landport as a youth.
When the bus used to return the same route it went into Landport it was a nightmare. Roads were built too thin.
Frequently the police were called to sort out an argument between a car driver and a bus driver, as the car driver refused to reverse half way down the road to let the bus through. (Meridian Road)

must be good to allow better bus access - Landport houses many elderly, single-parent and low-income families - how did Asda get a single-decker round on Saturdays? - why don't they develop more areas for SECURE lock-ups (of a decent size with plenty of turning space outside) not impossible 'cos they recently built a new road IN Landport with about a dozen extra houses - thus exacerbating the local parking problem - yellow lines could encourage people to park on one side of a road to prevent the bus slalom - how about giving Landport a second entrance road - and a few more one-way streets - come on council EARN your money EARN your votes!! stop wasting MY money on traffic impeding humps and bollards STOP financing NCP to run our town, ever tried to find visitor's parking at County Hall? STOP your attempt to bankrupt our local major division soccer team - hey hang about vote Seagulls - they must be a better bet
