My sons quadcopter/drone toy went out of control at the weekend and flew off in the direction of landport (landport Farm end). Has anyone found it? It’s not an expensive bit of kit but it was a present for my son after a serious illness and the treatment that followed, so I’d really like to get it back. It’s a black fx-123 and if anyone saw it or found it I’d be really grateful for any news.

Is it the sort of thing that shouldn't be flown anywhere near housing, by any chance?

No, it’s a kids toy, plastic, about 30cm x 30cm. It says to fly it indoors to start with so it wouldn’t damage houses or people outside

As I haven't seen it...
But you are wrong it's not a toy it's a full sized drone (complete with HD camera), the manual clearly tells you it is subject to CAA restrictions and that it shouldn't be flown near people or houses.
If you are not aware, it has a return to home function, it's worth setting up should you get it back.
