Sorry Expat 2, I've always been an instinctive atheist and am not an agnostic. I'm not waiting for God or any other cult, group or 'ism' to save me. A pivotal book for me aged 16 was 'l'Etranger' and if you want to classify me as anything it would be an existentialist. I'm also happy to acknowledge that my thinking coincides with some tenets of humanism, buddhism, christianity, socialism, but like most people, I'm pretty complex, and cannot be pinned down or defined by science, religion, politics or dogma. I know that doesn't fit with the 'new atheism' (that's my term for it) promoted by Dawkins (who I admire) and his sometimes rabid followers (some of whom are bordering sociopathic (or even pathetic) tendencies in their fundamental miltancy), but there you go.
Here endeth the lesson....

How on earth can you confuse that Scottish dullard with Sparks?
Sparks would never write such a morose and clunking dirge.
Is there any connection whatsoever, apart from being contemporaneous? (Jesus, I spelt that right 1st time)

Not entirely sure why you feel the need for a new ID BB, but a change of ID when you're anonymous anyway is not a big thing... at least it wasn't to me. Personally I'd like some sort of name reservation system here. If that meant registration so be it... and it might help keep the idiots that have been destroying the forum of late at bay.

I'm betting that Chick with a Dick, Gay Boy Brian, Cheeky Farker, Oh No etc are all the same person and probably the same person who's been impersonating Bloke, Clifford, Deelite, Brixtonbelle et al and hounding padster too. All the comments have in common the same sneering, nasty, bullying tone, aiming only at causing the maximum hurt and upset.
Why someone would want to be so obnoxious is beyond me. (Anyone might think Mr Foster was back.)
That one person could do so much damage to a forum just proves to me that registration is required, and quickly, before all the interesting posters give up (which has to be the aim of this insignificant little scrote).

Clifford - Thank you, I shall endeavour to more as I do like the forum very much. I have have been very busy of late and have a life-long friend who was given 2 to 6mths in January and as he lives in London visiting him is taking up much of my time. But nice to know you think of me.
Incidentally I cannot go with your Arthur Scargill sentiments.

I'm back. I wasn't intending on leaving the forum, just changing my name. If ever I get sick of the forum I just don't look at it for a while - and often life intervenes and I don't have as much time to indulge my opinions anyway.
I couldn't think of a name I liked well enough and given the voluntary registration idea I thought I'd stick with brixtonbelle, given that my style of writing is so indentifiable anyway.

ACT. You can't ignore the troll when he impersonates regular posters. The fact that he can impersonate regular posters also has the effect of damaging the reputation of that poster, as they are seen to be saying stupid things. As your comment does not seem to be as perceptive as they usually are I'm beginning to doubt it was made by you (see?). Nixon Scraypes is just wrong (and I suspect, part of the trolling problem anyway).
