if you want a good lunch go to the Swan in lewes you have to get there at 12 sharp on a Sunday to get a seat but its tasty, hot, filling, and the staff are really friendly and so are the locals too.

Hi im the barman at the swan and these comments are very much appreciated. Just to clear up though im afraid we dont take bookings on sundays due to such demand on roasts we do it on a first come first served basis. As suggested get there as close to 12 as possible. Thank you. Liam

Every time in my life I've tried to go to the Swan it's been shut apart from one occasion when we walked in and the alchy behind the bar sort of grunted at us so we walked out again.
There are a lot of places I'd pick to have sunday lunch before I tried the Swan again.

When was this Ed?
I can inform you the two bar staff, my sister and i neither drink so you will not find an alcoholic behind the bar!
The Swan is on different opening times due to its out of town status!
Mon-Sat opens 11:30 am - 2:30 pm (usually on a bit longer saturday afternoons)
6:00 pm - 11:00pm
Sundays open 12:00 food last orders at 1:50 pm close at 6:00pm sometimes earlier. But open until 9:00pm Summer Time.
Would you consider one more time Ed?
