Was talking to my brother about "old times" in lewes and how sad it was that John Whippy had died (late of Elevators, the blues band) - i remember him when I was about 15 sitting in his bedroom listening to John Mayall and admiring his red boots! Then remembered band called Satanic Temple - I thought they were great and followed them around. Remember seeing them at a place under the East Sussex Council offices - like a club. Also saw live gigs at the Brewers Arms. Live in Hove now but love to go back to Lewes. Did anyone know Pete Davies? Would love to read about old memories of around 1970 - 75.

I'm actually John's cousin.It does not seem like over a year since John died(14th July 2006) after a long battle against a brain tumour.
John was a great person who always had time for people and I was lucky enought to spend a lot of time with him and the elevators.I miss him terribly and llok back on all the time and music we shared with great fondness.
