There seem to be a lot of noise in that general area of late, especially at Landsdown Place due to the re opened Pub..the noise from punters standing outside has increased and it is now so bad residents are being kept awake, the path they are on is sometimes not passable and you have to cross the road, surley this is not acceptable. The other night they were still out there gone 11.20pm and residents can hear from indoors it acually drowns out their TV's now that is bad !!!!

Ben & Viv are the loveliest of people and rudeness & indifference does not sound like them!
Living near a pub will always mean an element of noise but living by the All Saints should not mean regular noise and The bagpipes was indeed very early and loud!

I also know ben and viv... unless something was said to the bar staff and they were rude about it... it for sure doesnt sound like them.... i think a time limit for people spilling into the street of the landsdown should be something to consider... but unfortunatly its the down side of living next to or near a pub.... im annoyed that the all saints seem to be being a tad inconsiderate!!

The arguement about choosing to live next to a pub can be unfair, especially as licencing rules have changed during the last decade. Selfish clientelle spilling out onto the streets and causing anti-social behaviour should be kept in line by the landlord, if that fails then the authorities should step in.
All Saint's = I think Glynde & Beddingham brass band practice there each week so maybe they were having a rehearsal before last nights Proms event.

jayce - I always think that when correcting others it is worth checking your own posts to check that there are no mistakes. Otherwise, it can make you look foolish.
"Amused that n 2 posts" ; hahaha!

When I was a kid our house in Heathfield was next door to the silver band hall, I enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of rehearsals.

I'm afraid that people hanging about outside pubs until late at night is the consequence of forcing them outside to smoke!

All fair comments and i dont live nextdoor to the pub its about being aware of residents !!!!

this is the thing! they go outside to smoke and they end up staying out there or just being really loud... they should be more aware but what can they do with such a small but popular pub... unless they did a no smoking policy even outside the pub but surely this would mean they'd lose business!! seems to be not much of a solution to that one... but i would like to ask if a disturbance like the past two times props up from the all saints again, should i call them?? or is this normal and acceptable!?
