A firm run by the Tories’ election chief, Lynton Crosby, devised a plan to lobby David Cameron to expand the role of private healthcare in the UK.A strategy paper, drawn up by Mr Crosby’s firm CTF Partners , seen by The Independent newspaper, proposed targeting key government figures, including the Prime Minister, to enhance the “size, acceptability and profitability of the private healthcare market”. It also stated that “insufficient public funds” were a strategic “opportunity” for private healthcare firms. It added the campaign’s long-term strategy should be “achieving decision-maker recognition that health investment in the UK can only grow by expanding the role and contribution made by the private sector”.CTF Partners’ website says Mr Crosby’s “intuitive sense of delivering the results that are needed” has been “finely honed through his many years of providing high-level advice to prime ministers, premiers, and leaders of business”.

I would hazard a guess that, should the Conservatives get back into power, we'd see a huge move towards out-sourcing and possibly wholesale privatisation of the NHS. You have to question what the motivation is. It's certainly not driven by a mandate from the public and it is the most cost-efficient health service in the world. Rich pickings for the American firms that are awarded the opportunities to fleece us.

Yer the NHS is all ways so much better under the Labour party. Just think what the NHS will be like if we get in later in the week, well remeber the deaths of up to 1200 patients from neglect at Mid -Staffs hospitals as staff stuck ridgidly to a target culture imposed by his highness Blair, well that has to better than people having to wait in A&E for 4 hours or more doesn't it.
The NHS in Wales is living proof of how the Labour party are at running a Health service, here and now. This was proved today when Marion Evans of Wrexham is on a 2 year waiting list for a procedure with in NHS Wales whilst here sister who lives 10 miles away in Chester and suffers with the same condition had her procedure done and month by month follow ups with in 8 weeks of being reffered under the Tory run NHS.
Whats not to like about the Labour party running the NHS?

Vote Labour if you want to devalue the NHS.

The Wales\England comparison is obviously a complete red herring. Wales is a much more socially disadvantaged country than England with much more demand for healthcare. More drain on over-streched resources.

Yer , more socially disadvantaged that will be it, it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the Labour party cause they never ever make any mistakes ever. Not like the nasty Tories with their positive growth and 2 million jobs created, what a bunch of nasty people they are, for God sake vote Labour.
