I want to communicate with the council about dangerous roads and anti social driving. The contact used to be Mike Higgs at ESCC but this may have changed since the much discussed mergers? I don't want to email as it takes weeks to be told I have the wrong department. Anyone know who I can call now? I would like to address Mr Higgs was completely useless and is probably retired on a sweet pension by now. A scandal in its own right!

Pester your local councillor, they should know who to contact, at the council, if they don't , don't re-elect them. They have to deal with people like you all the time, it's their job.

I think you will find they get paid handsomely, especially folk like Mr Higgs.

Who have ESCC merged with? I haven't heard anything about it. Lewes DC and Eastbourne on the other hand.

That's what I meant pedant, thanks. You do know how badly you come across sometimes don't you? Are you lonely? Look forward to your constructive and on topic contributions.

A far better idea would be to email Maria Caulfield. She is marvellous at sorting out any problem you may have. I can't speak highly enough of her. A truly wonderful lady who does so much for her constituency.

I will. What's her email? I'm 46 so don't have many years left to wait for the reply.

So people that correct ignorant postings are now pedants. Millennial dumbing down is now rampant. Knowledge is the bomb.

And the Police are the ones to contact about anti-social driving.

It's very easy to dismiss council officers as "useless" when they're not given the resources to do their jobs effectively.
It's hard to sort out any problem when there's no money for solutions. But this is what people voted for ...

Anti-social driving is the responsibility of the police, not a council. Trunk roads, including the A27, are the responsibilty of Highways England. Other roads fall under the County Council. People who direct compaints to irrelevant organsiations don't deserve a response, and I would be very wary of directing personal and potentially libellous abuse of individuals on a forum such as this.
