White Hart

Hello all, I have been reading avidly about people's thoughts on the Long Room. Personally I find the whole place very nice. I wouldn't like to recommend anyone to try the poison at the White Hart Hotel Restaurant. I ate a small lunch in there the other day and whilst two elderly ladies next to me almost choked to death I have to say that although the food is barely edible the staff are particularly wonderful. On this note, anyone who decides to own a hotel or b&b as it should be known could read a book on business sense and morality and possibly gain some sense thereafter. As the business stands now it is clearly a disgrace to the high street and I would not recommend anything on sale in the establishment....sorry but not a huge fan after my recent experiences.

The White Hart is indeed below standard. Shame because it could be so good.

And they charge £175 for one of the worst disco's I have ever seen. Really poor sound quality, can't understand what the DJ is saying, 3 little lights to illuminate the dance floor, and a DJ dresed like a 70's porn star!!!
This hotel used to be the pride and joy of the town, now it's a shambles, with below standard food, expensive rooms and unimpressive entertainment. What's happened to it????

Ever slept in the bedrooms? I consider myself a fairly fit 30s something male and my back almost fell to pieces after staying the pitiful White Hart "hotel" for one night...Also interesting to read about the disco post, I spent half the night listening to a muffled jibberish with some techno beat in the background...You would think paying almost £100 for a night you wouldn't need to put up with such "entertainment".....Would be interested to hear if anyone has anything positive to say about the place as I am struggling to find anything...

I dont mind as long as they do stripy vodka.I've never liked the place much, the security on the back door is far too tight.

Does anyone have experience the first 3 Sundays of the month dance sessions at the White Hart? They are run by someone who is not from the White Hart I believe but is using the premises (as far as I can make out). I was just curious of getting feedback on lating dancing there.
