Of sandwich bars, I've just about had enough of that rude cow that owns the river side. The only thing that kept my custom was its convenience. No more

webbo. does this website endorse such attacks on a local business? would you allow this post if the business concerned was advertising on your public website? or if the poster was advertising on your site, but the victim wasn't?
'former customer' you don't come across as especially polite yourself, do you?

Unfortunately resident this type of attack is rife on this forum and pretty much brings the forum into disrepute. If you have any doubt just look at the way Lewes Cinema were vilified for daring to complain about being kicked-out of a successful operation.
There are numerous other examples and while I'm a staunch defender of free speech I do think it goes too far when people are allowed to publicly attack local businesses.

Agreed. I am mystified why they remain , as they clearly breech posting rules, regardless of libel laws.

Doesn't sound like you're in favour of free speech at all. If someone can't comment that they were on the end of a bit of rudeness from a local business then this is the thin end of the wedge of censorship. Petty minded wringers like you two are the dearth of this forum. If I came around you house and called you c.unt you'd have every right to mention it on here and I'd respect that

Why all the ire? Anyone who's met her will know she is bloody rude!

Free speech has responsibilities. You are not speaking freely, because you are hiding your names. I suspect there is a reason for that.
If you think that being rude is so bad, then why are you repeating that behaviour on here?
LOL Funny.

And another. Although they could all be the same person posting, we can't tell as no one will admit who they are when bullying this victim. Wether she is miserable or not is irrelevant.

I don't think it's too much to ask for that someone who works with the public should at least make an effort to not act like she hates her customers.

as Pete says, just go somewhere else. Here is something to consider. If you are as rude to shop owners in person as you are to them on here, then it is hardly surprising that they might be a bit rude back! :-)

Kettle, you are being rude to people doing jobs like that! This Forum is a global public arena, not just a screen inside your house, it is more public even than if you complained in the shop. Writing on here is as good as shouting out "yeah, she's miserable" (your words) in front of the shop to anyone passing by. Would you do that? Have an opinion by all means, but just take responsibility for the impact of how you deliver your personal opinion.
As 'Scale' has pointed out, by saying 'she' you have also unjustly insulted any other woman working in the shop!
:-)

No, I'm criticising HER. If you work with the public you should be polite. She isn't.
If people go there and get someone who is helpful and friendly, good. They will not think that they are dealing with the person i am talking about. The rude one deserves to be called on her behaviour.

Who is 'her'? Try reading the post above your again :-) You are so caught up in defending your rudeness that you don't even understand what is being pointed out to you. Maybe you do encounter rude people, and maybe sometime they are rude, but broadcasting your opinion, in this way, and singling out an individual for your broadcast judgement on the world internet is rude in itself. What is wrong with just moaning to your family, or some friends down the pub? Why this extreme? Although I think you are being quite rude I am not naming you on this site, because that would be unkind. How would you feel if I did? Who are you going to criticise next? Is it just going to be this woman, or are we all up for public humiliation by you, or someone else, if we are fail to meet your standards? Do we have to be at our best behaviour at all times to avoid your punishing us like this, or do we get some leeway? :-)

Don't be ridiculous. People who work in a public role should be polite.
One of the main reasons for reading this forum is to find out where to go in town, and obviously, where not to go.
