Not Lewes related, but an interesting argument, ambulance parks on double yellow outside Tesco to get a drink, traffic warden slaps a ticket on it...

if that was a police car or a fire engine the nob would not have put a ticket on it.

Paramedics presumably are on call, so don't have time to faff around finding a parking space. If they're just quickly popping in to buy a drink, they shouldn't have to worry about some jobsworth.

@EOL, not sure about "just popping in", it's usually a few minutes to buy a drink in Tesco's?
I hate traffic wardens, but I'm leaning to his side, they're were not on a call (otherwise they would not have been shopping), so they don't get any special rights.
Parking on double yellow and blocking a road so that you can go shop is ignorant and not what I would expect from an emergency services vehicle.

a Traffic Warden - just a knob in a uniform on private ground who Tesco choose to " outsource" to Ripoff "parking clowns " If I was a young Lewesian again (now an OAP ) Me and my mates from The Rainbow would storm Tesco wearing paramedic gear, pushing a bed and RIPPING the P*ss out of our local Tosco PLC Never mind the rookies in the meters - they are legit, on public highways.

Tesco is private property?
Lewes traffic wardens have no jurisdiction on their property?
Are there any double yellow lines?
Can they issue tickets?
Tesco can't even manage their disabled & family parking.
The cameras do the rest.
Is this scenario a figment of someones imagination?
