Every day it gets worse. More and more political, ranting bullying, finger pointing threads. Most are cut and paste, many contain a link to someone else's journalism. Nearly all points have been covered many times before.
I really don't think all of the posters are from Lewes and many are so aggressive that it becoming completely unsustainable.
Will webbo do something after the election? I fear, post election the ranting will be about how wrong the result is or a very unwelcome return to brexit.
Who really has had their opinion changed by any of these fools banging on and on? Webbo did the colour thread thing but that's failed miserably.
How do we save the once decent forum from the rot?

I think you'll find webbo has done something about it already, all you need to do is click the button to hide the politics.

As Bob above stated, you can avoid all this (faux) pain by simply not looking. Webbo has made it that bit easier to resist as well with purple denoting a political thread....and if thats still too much, you can literally click a button and hide all the identified political threads. Its "failed" in your eyes because you can't avoid the temptation of another whinge.
What is wrong with people? We're 2 days away from an important election, and you think it can be easily avoidable by coming on to a discussion forum (and clicking on threads that are clearly political ones)?! Jesus wept...people are discussing it because its relevant and important.
Oh, and incidentally, I've changed who i'll be voting for over the past couple of months. How much of it is influenced by forum posts on here, I have no idea, but I'm glad debate has taken place and we've not just allowed this snap election to quietly roll on by, and let the establishment media take all the control.

I won't be tactically voting. I'll vote for Labour, even if they have no chance in the general election anyway, let alone for the Lewes constituency.

@ we'vehadourfun - If you click on the "hide political posts" button that was very reasonably developed and added by Webbo, specifically for miserable twunts like you who constantly complain, you would not see all the "noise" that impacts you in such a profoundly negative way (and is in no way first world problems, just to be clear). Yet you are so ungrateful and you still are not happy, despite your only contribution to this forum is trolling or complaining.
I'd like to make a complaint about we'vehadourfun. I think all his posts should be marked in yellow, with the option to hide them, so I don't have to read his inane, repetitive miserable whinging. I don't have the option to hide his posts, and its making me very upset and frustrated. Grrrrrrrr, angryyyyyy! Arghhh, so frustrated unless I get my own way!! grrrrr
