The sky isn't falling Fairmeadow but almost 20% of the way into negotiations we've lost a lot and won nothing and thankfully many Leavers are as concerned for the country as Remainers, and dismay at the incompetence of the Government is beyond the lines of how people voted.

The reality is a small majority chose an option they couldn't understand in a pointless referendum. That's not being rude about people's intelligence: the detail hadn't been worked out so people had no idea of the substance of what they were actually voting for, because it was never once articulated by the Leave side or the Government (see Euratom panic by the government this week for just one example, and we've not got onto negotiating airlines, pharma, financial services, car trade...). Theresa May then took the hardest, and most brutal interpretation of the referendum, triggered A50 in March when she could have waited, she did so before working out *any* detailed negotiating position, then wasted 2 months on a general election where she lost her authority completely. And not once has the Government managed expectations by pointing out the completely unachievable lies of the Leave campaign. That means no-one in the country is actually going to get what they thought they voted for.

If that's not a Government not worthy of negotiating the biggest thing that's happened to this country for 70 years, deciding the quality of life for the next generation or two, then I'd be interested in what it'll take for you to admit it's not going well? I know a few Leave voters and they are far less cavalier in their view thankfully, and want the Government held to account before they destroy this country and have us crawling back to the EU.

Wasn't going IN against De Gaulle and the French an equally daft thing, less than 70 years ago. We can't crawl back, the French are just waiting to pounce.
