I found my neighbours story about being atacked with FROZEN mini quiches thrown out of a moving car up at the bottleneck rather amusing. She did get hurt on the leg though and chased them to the traffic lights where they stopped and waited for the light to turn green but not before she had a good go at them. That's Lewes rebels for you. Yesterday I walked through Landport and a young lad was walking around with a bird of prey. Is this the Lewes answer to Pitt Bull, Staffordshire and Rottweiler? What a strange quaint place. I love it.

I'm fairly sure there was a piece in the Lewes news about the guy with the hawk a couple of months ago. He used to exercise it in Baxters Field but doesn't anymore for reasons I can't remember. Nice guy by all accounts, my dad had a long chat with him once (In Baxters Field while he was exercising his hawk).

The dad's name is Nigel and he was indeed on the front of Lewes news or viva lewes a few months ago. Ive known Nigel for years and now his son is doing some falconry.
Nigel's a super bloke as mentioned above and will happily talk to anyone about his birds (of prey !!!)

The kid and his mate looked very friendly, refreshing really, to what can be found in the Precinct. Good to see that the lad has a hobby he enjoys. Pretty bird he has.

Nigel's bird, Fanny, is an American red tailed hawk and the son has a Harris hawk.
