Some go up and bang, some go up and flash and wonder of wonders some go up and flash and bang. WowWee.
Apart from exciting some small children what is the fuss all about?

For me it's the atmosphere of the whole picture. Sights, smells and sounds. Excited kids faces, friends, fun, families.

I prefer the look on the scared kids faces. Scared pets are especially funny.

I like the drifting from party to party. I went to one down South Street and the view across the river to the Cliffe, South Street Borough and Waterloo fireworks was mesmerising. The smoke drifting across the reflections in the river was someting Turner would have loved. But the smell, the sounds, the atmosphere, you don't get that in many other places, we should be proud that we do anything anywhere like it.
Or perhaps you'd rather stay in with Ant and Dec, it takes allsorts I suppose.

We should be proud that the town has such a unique a distinctive cultural heritage that is still being celebrated today.
in my opinion this year was one of the best. Excellent Steve Irwin tableaux, congrats to whoever was involved in that topical and done in good humour. Also I agree with Bridgeview Boy that Waterloo fireworks display was brilliant Again.

The fog drifting across Newhaven Habour and Seaford Bay. The drone of foghorns. Zimmers... the subtle but nonetheless quintessential smell of Eau de Cologne masking stale urine... you don't get that in many other places either. Such feelin's... I'm choking on me words.

Well I saw Elvis blow up his guitar outside my second home (the law courts) and I bet that went better than Boroughs display. I would like to know what he had in there.
