What is it with this god forsaken place? Yesterday i was unfortunate enough to witness the worst piece of driving i think i've ever see.
In what felt like 20 minutes (it was probably near 10) I saw someone trying to get out of a parking space....back, forward, back forward, passenger gets out to check, back, forwards....repeat ad nauseam. Meanwhile the cars are backing up way out of the store.
At last the whole debacle was over and we could all go on and find our spaces.
Only for the car in front to repeat the whole procedure going into the first retard's space.
By now, cars are queuing over the causeway.
Some people just shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of a car.

I am a new driver and it's impatient people like some of you who make me really nervous about going out in the car. You don't know anything about this poor person (and seriously, why assume it's a woman, you Jim Davidson/Bernard Manning style fossil?). Perhaps it was a new driver going out alone for the first time. Perhaps it was an elderly person struggling. And before angry, bored and clearly unemployed (given the time he spends on this thread trying to be Lewes' very own Katie Hopkins and failing) wastes of space like Hamid Barr start levelling accusations of snowflakery, there is a difference between being a snowflake and just showing some compassion. It's called humanity.

The issue here is one of completence. The skill actually driving the car in Tesco and the complete lack of judgement shown by the pictured Smart Car suggest that they simply shouldn’t be on the road.
Seriously, these are the sort of people who mistake the accelerator for the brake and kill people.

Certain irony when calling someone out for their competence and spelling it "completence".

Have to say Red Herring I admire your courage in coming on here and showing your ignorance. Not just completence but you also seem to think people drive in Tesco. Brilliant stuff.

With respect, if ANY driver, be it young, old, inexperienced etc, takes that amount of time to get in or out of a parking space, they should not be allowed to drive.

Yes, Mr angry from Lewes, that's exactly right.
I'm sorry for the earlier spelling mistake, but if someone has that little control, what's going to happen when immediate decision making is required, as it frequently is on today’s busy roads?
What happens when a dog runs out, or someone steps out from behind a bus? What's the likelihood they will even see a biker approaching?

All trolling aside new driver, there is no defence for parking like that (maybe if there were some bollards there that were moved after they parked - basically the vehicle should not have been left there).
If that is the sum of the persons vehicle control, they should not be driving.
