Tesco Chickening Out?

All quiet for some weeks now, and the builders' portacabins have been moved away. Are Tesco intimidated by Aldi, or have they just run out of money?
And if the expansion project has been put on ice, can we have the footpath from Brooks Road into Tesco reopened please?
