Anyone with experience of Talktalk? I've just had a door knocker offer me talktalk at £18.48 per month to include broadband, line rental and evening/weekend calls, caller display and voicemail. Any good?

I'm with Talk Talk.It is a good deal but check by ringing them first as I have heard from a friend that the doorstep deals, although they sound tempting are slightly different to the deals you get if you apply online or by phone.
Something about a 24 month contract as opposed to an 18 month contract.
Phone them on 0870 444 1820 and check the terms and conditions first?

0800 0490049 is a far cheaper number to ring in fact it's free

Do yo have Sky TV or an Orange mobile phone or an O2 mobile?
If you have any of these 3, you can get free broadband from them.
The Sky deal is the best.

sky deal is only the best if you pay for sky as well, surely ? I use Talk Talk. They are cheaper deal on broadband, but we have had a problem with lost connection which took a few days to resolve. Very fast speed though due to proximity of exchange.

Who on earth would pay £18.48 a month for a box-standard out-dated service such as Talk Talk with horrid customer care? Are you on drugs? Have been with numerous providers over the past 16yrs and must say that O2 Broadband, although their Mobile Customer care is dreadful, is a very robust service with pleasing, UK based, customer care. I'm on the biggest package and with a bit tweaking get 16MB down and 2.3MB up. The only time I was dissatisfied was when they would not renew the contract at better conditions than I wished. Subsequently changed my O2 package through www.quidco.com and got 3 months free + 100 cashback, when all I asked for initially was 5 months free. As an O2 mobile customer I'm paying around 17 for premium package plus static IP but services start from around 7 I think. Defiinitely worth the money if you are in a non-cable area.

All these combo deals only make sense if you can't hook up to Lewes Wireless Broadband.

With Talk Talk I pay £11 odd for line rental (which they take over) 6 odd a month for a package which includes free local calls all day+ free local, national and free 0845s in the evenings and weekends.I haven't had a bill which exceeds 20 for 6 months.
And broadband is 'free' on top.The odd time I am put through to India I can handle as the call is free. If anyone can beat that for a basic service I would be interested to know who provides it.

Ant.How much is it to hook up to Lewes Wireless Broadband then?
Do you do a phone package that goes with it?
What are the benefits? Do you provide a dongle that allows to to access broadband wherever you are then?
