Tobacco is a carrier for the highly addictive drug nicotine. Once your body gets a taste for nicotine, it can quickly become a life-long addiction, with extremely fatal consequences. Whether smoked or chewed, nicotine is one of the most highly addictive drugs used in today's society.
Five & half months without a joint or 12.5 grams of roll up tobacco a day..
Th main celebration is knocking the tobacco on the head..
(Didn't have any booze (another drug) from new years day until good Friday)
Tobacco has gotta be one of the main gateway drugs
the fact that the war on drugs is soft on tobacco
is a joke in of it's self...
when I see the school kids of Lewes puffing away after school and asking the older tobacco junkies to buy their tobacco drug for them it's very sad..
When there's so much data available
wouldn't it be awesome if was banned
taken out of the shops not brought into the country etc
if no one was smoking, it only takes a few days months to go through the cold turkey..
So what about the jobs lost
they could grow hemp
On an annual basis, 1 acre of hemp will produce as much fiber as 2 to 3 acres of cotton. Hemp fiber is stronger and softer than cotton, lasts twice as long as cotton, and will not mildew.
On an annual basis, 1 acre of hemp will produce as much paper as 2 to 4 acres of trees. From tissue paper to cardboard, all types of paper products can be produced from hemp.
Hemp can be used to produce strong, durable and environmentally-friendly plastic substitutes. Thousands of products made from petroleum-based plastics can be produced from hemp-based composites.
So to take the war on drugs to the tobacco industry and force them stop growing the drug..

Tobacco is one of the most addictive drugs, and one of the hardest to kick behind just heroin and crack, and it kills 100,000 people in the UK per year, and harms almost every organ in the body.
Its extraordinary how only up until recently it was advertised and marketed to aggressively to the population, and yet consuming marijuana is demonised, despite enormous evidence for numerous medicinal benefits, and a death rate of virtually 0 (an aspirin is far more of a threat to human life). If tobacco (and alcohol) is legal, then magic mushrooms, weed, LSD and MDMA should also be legal (considering they are far less harmful and far less addictive), plus would be quite useful for tax revenues and making sure the supply is clean and regulated. Its a no-brainer, but there is far too much scaremongering, misinformation and ignorance on this....and insanely a huge chunk of the UK populations heads explode at the thought of these drugs being legally available to adults, as they quaff their liver destroying wine and Gin and tonics.
