Can you just turn up and use the facilities or do you need to join and be proposed and seconded and all that?

A member who knows you has to sign you in & pay £1. If you want to join just pop in and ask at the bar.

My recollection of the LDC scheme is that they were proposing to redevelop St Mary's with the same facilities in modern premises together with 12 flats - and the scheme wouldn't go ahead unless it had the approval of the Management Committee. The housing would be additional council housing. Now that the 30/49 sites scheme has bitten the dust, is that still under consideration?

Now they have to start again.
Some sites, e.g. 4 Fisher Street, should and could have been redeveloped years ago? No one minds. St Mary's is more controversial, and they need to consult. Really consult. To me the social club looks dire and the present hall looks fairly downmarket and capable of being improved, but I'm not an actual user.
