Small Ads - Need Date - Jobs

Suppose a local plumber/painter/shopkeeper suddenly needed extra help tomorrow or for a couple of days next week, would they use the small ads or could we introduce an easy 'Small Ads' type of posting section in the existing 'Jobs' tab? What about people looking for work?
