Does anyone remember when a guy got hit on the head one year with one of those wooden skittles balls back in the early 80's? He was knocked out and had to go to hospital. What ever happened to him, does anyone know?

There's always some teams looking for extra players as people drop out, don't turn up or even just to mix things up a bit. Apart from the people who're really trying to win, it's generally a pretty informal affair so it's worth just turning up and looking interested! I ended up on two different teams last year having only gone down there to watch and have a drink.

Thanks for your help everybody . . . We have played loads of times before but never organised a team and the good news is were in with an elite team and playing wednesday . So watch out for the supercurries ! . . I (Tina) was hit in the eye and knocked out by a wooden ball when I was eight years old and ended up in hospital . Hurt when I woke up . B-)

I'm playing tomorrow too, I shall hope we don't get drawn against your team then, it's quite demoralising getting beaten badly.
