That's possible. An accident with a box of matches on a very valuable piece of real estate. Probably just a kitten stuck up a tree!

Date : 10 February 2020

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have contained a fire at a property on Rotten Row in Lewes to one room.

We were called at 11.30 today (10 Feb 2020).
The property is derelict and used to be a school.
Four fire engines and four officers were sent to the scene.
No injuries have been reported.
Crews put the fire out and have been cutting back to ensure that all the hot spots have been cooled.
Firefighters are clearing up and packing up.
How difficult was that?

St Anne's school? If you don't want to do something willingly sleeveless, don't do it at all.

Oh, I did it willingly, but isn’t your question typical of so many these days, who can’t be bothered to find the answer themselves!

I didn't actually know there was a website that told you about fires sleeveless. I still don't know if it was at Anne's and someone might have had more personal knowledge of it. I don't mind you trying to demean my post by the way. I shall continue to post whatever I want. Please ignore it in the future.

Nevillman, do you rely solely on this forum for your news? The fire was at St Anne’s. It was arson.

Thank you sleeveless. i didn't know that. I don't know where else to go for local news like that before the Sussex express comes out tomorrow. There is nothing about it on their website. I have been barred from the lewes present Facebook site and cannot even view it. As every post on there has to be approved as suitable by Symes I wouldn't trust it anyway. There was nothing on the lewes Facebook site about it. Where should I have gone to find out about the fire?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't find that story on the Sussex express website anywhere. Does anyone know the latest on st Anne's? Last I remember it was being bought by subud but that was years ago. Looks like it's just being left until someone successfully burns it down now.

I can't help thinking that locking out all law-abiding members of the public was bound to end in exactly this. Anyone who walks in the cemetery or on ESCC campus knows that all the gates, fences and barriers put us off walking in the wild gardens there, but don't deter the gangs of youths in the slightest. I really miss taking the dog on adventures there. Such a shame.
