Purple HP Laptop in De Montfort Road

My laptop (a purple HP) and it’s charger were accidentally left outside my house in De Montfort Road today - near some boxes of assorted kitchen things with a note on the box saying ‘free - please take’. I was decluttering the house.
The box my laptop was in / on top of was full of assorted correspondence, stationary and birthday cards.
Obviously my laptop has now gone. It is PIN protected so unless someone is techie (or knows someone) it’s not much use.
I am keen (desperate) to have it returned - as obviously I wasn’t actually giving it away for free at all.
I’ve posted on various FB pages, on Freecycle & Nextdoor, put posters up in the street & shop.
I’d be grateful for it’s return or other helpful suggestions to facilitate its return.
