I've just heard that Priory have told the year 11s that they are finishing today rather than Thursday. They have done this because they expect trouble from a minority.
I think its a really crappy way to treat all the other pupils who have worked hard and respected their school and teachers.
They have been robbed of their only last 2 days at school and in the midst of their GCSEs it will do nothing for marale. Now I know some of you will say that they will probably be over the moon but thats not how my son sees it.
Shame on you Mr Oldfield you should be able to control a minority for the good of the majority.

Great idea. Let's all just decide that we don't want to work for another two days. I'm sure our bosses would understand.

Is it really worth the hastle of all the agro that will be caused by the year 11s. Fire alarms and extinguishers being set off (meaning the fire brigade have to be called out), vandalism and graffitti, old scores to settle (with pupils and teachers alike) etc etc
I know at Ringmer, they used to get the police in for the last day !!!

I think it is such a stupid thing to do. If i was in Year 11 i would have also been distaught. Kids were told it was there last day half an hour before the end of school and some kids had been in exams and didnt get out till 4pm so missed the assembly announcing the news and was just handed a note to inform them. I can not believe how a school could treat their students like that especially priory (which i am at now).
All the kids are thoroughly upset and angry and parents have been phoning eachother in disbelief. And they are planning to go and speak to Mr Ofield tomorow morning.
Personally i think all the year 11s should just turn up and go to normal lessons anyway because that would show the head how they all feel.
Hopefully the parents can speak some sense into the schools decision and get an their last day back to sya goodbye properly like they were planned.

What cowards!

The last day of school is an important rite of passage and every schoolkid should be able write on each other's shirts, get drunk and be rude to the maths teacher they've always hated.
