My sister says there was a swimming pool at Priory Middle School in the 80s. I don't remember one at all. Being 5 years younger than her I was wondering if it was demolished by the time I got to Middle School. Anyone enlighten me?

Middle school pool was still in use in 1984, and still there in 1985, but I don't know if it was still in use, but have no reason to suspect not.
The pool at lower school was part of southover primary by 1980, but may have belonged to priory before that.

Ah, fond memories of sneaking down to the old pool for a fag in the early 80s. It was surrounded by leylandii which provided excellent cover!
