Around midday today,a lady(elderly) reportedly, was run over outside Boots. The Air Ambulance helicopter landed in the small car park in Court Road!Well done to the pilot,as I, and others, were in awe of his/her ability to land in such a small area. Do hope the lady is ok, and once again, a thankyou to our emergency services who I know do it many times but,to see it for yourself just makes you have even more respect for them.

Whilst not wanting to detract from the skill and dedication of the Air Ambulance crew who do a fantastic job... in a town centre wouldn't it have been easier to use an ordinary ambulance?

I think its only used when a patients injuries are severe or if the patient needs specialist treatment at a hospital that isnt nearby and going by air is quicker

NO,HELICOPTER PILOT,only one car there but, this was the Magistrates car park with VERY little room for manoeuvre and only a few feet from the dwellings of Leighside House! In fact, right outside their windows! Yes daydreamer ,only in extreme cases are they used.

Tom, what is the useful job you do and how much do you earn? I'd love a useful job that gets me a decent amount of money, but the two seem almost mutually exclusive.

Gullible? If you are so cool, witty and fabulous, don't some of you have something better to do than bullying people who for wahtever reason want to talk about ambulances and car parks. Not exactly the greatest challenge in the world is it! :-)
