I intend spending a few days in September 2017 making a photographic record of the examples in Lewes. Much as I've done for Hampshire, IoW, Wiltshire and Berkshire
If this forum does not permit URLs then "mathematical tiles in Hampshire " in a searchengine should get there (I'll try with the URL in a later post).
In 3 parts, Lewes would be a fourth part. So establishment pic and any signatures of them,in close-up, being tiles rather than bricks, for each example.
So far the compiled list I've made is below, so something like 35 missing from the list , if anyone here would know of any of any of the missing examples. Or where the listing of Lewes and Brighton examples is, (I've a collated list, from Singleton Down&Weald, of the remainder of E and W sussex but excluding Brighton and Lewes, apparently on some separate/missing list ).
I'm getting better at spotting them , but I've still missed a few despite close inspection , so any inside knowledge , gratefully received.
Concerning Alec Clifton Taylor's , Another 6 English Towns / Lewes, on you-tube,
would anyone know where "his" architectural salvage yard is/was or perhaps local council works yard. If there is any interest I could arrange a meet-up, presumably in the Royal Oak, for a pow-wow with anyone interested locally, in these quirky secretive architectural survivors. So loband.org gets under the blocking filter ,or whatever, on this site, so I can access from my machine, but with yet another handle
