Parking in zone B

If you are one of the lucky ones who manages to snaffle a space at the end of a bay, please can you park efficiently not about a metre or so in from the end. It means that there might be room for someone else further up. It's infuriating to see so many half spots which could've been solved if the person at the end was a little more 'with it'.
And no it's not because a motor bike was parked there and left.
Some people are just inconsiderate!

They must sell a lot more permits than there are spaces in Zone B
Even during the daytime finding a space is nearly impossible

I agree wholeheartedly, parking fairy. If drivers parked like they could drive properly we wouldn't have a problem with uneconomical use of parking spaces.

Maybe not even 1% of the time a motorbike MIGHT have been there but in the 4/5 streets I crawl around looking for a spot, there are only three regular bikes and the seem to park in similar spots.
I agree, Plumber, it's very annoying.
Anyway, I guess this applies to all zones. Please think!

The same applies for zone D. I blame the businesses who have permits to park all over the town. They finish for the day and head off down the pub and residents have no where to park.
It would also be nice to see a bit of restriction from the council on the number of permits they issue but I'm sure it's a nice cash flow overselling them.
Also, dare I say it longer hours by the parking gestapo would be welcome for all the people who park on double yellows after hours.
I'd also suggest making resident zones strictly permit only at all hours instead of just 9-5.

Completely agree!
I see so many spaces when people leave for work at 8am ish and then by 8.30am they've been filled again I presume by people coming into Lewes to work. Residents only 9-5 would be awesome.

No fairy, zone B is the worst
It’s the one most tradesmen dread working in
The others aren’t so bad, less densely populated I guess

I like the fact it's safe enough to leave windows open and shops don't need to put grills up at night.
