Just noticed there is a group on Facebook about scrapping the parking scheme in Lewes. Might be worth putting our names down.

The one I found that seems most credible has a kind of poster logo about getting rid of NCP and Norman Baker, plus two other Councillors on the same group

Its called something like "Get rid of the Lewes Parking Scheme". If you type in Lewes as a group you might find it.

Wow, that'll sort out the parking, there's a facebook page! It'll be a matter of weeks before the scheme is scrapped now.

Great idea. I vote for multi-storey car parks on malling playing fields, the pells, the dripping pan, grange gardens, cliffe high st, commercial square, the war memorial and perhaps we could dam up the ouse and use the river bed for parking

I should have siad 'getting rid of NCP' and is supported by Norman Baker etc etc. :-)
How many local MP's would come off the fence and support this? I agree a facebook page on its own is hardly going to break down the barricades, but it is all part of the solution.
If you have further suggestions of pooling information, and contacting people who may share a belief that NCP has to go, then remember to post that info on Lewes forum.

I've just had a look and there are 3 groups on there. It can't hurt to join, and to be honest, why just sit back and do nothing? I am sure some of you sign petitions in the precinct, or on the government website, surely this is the same thing. Anyway, if Facebook can bring back WISPAs (yum) than you never know.
