Yesterday whilst walking through Neville estate a young couple (late teens) walked past. The girl said to her partner "So if you're going to nick a car make sure you don't take one from a single mum". How thoughtful of her!!

now now...let's build up rather than knock down...maybe they we talking about a TV programme (Eastenders or similar).....you never hear of cars getting nicked in Lewes; mirrors ripped off, keyings and the odd window smashing....that's usually the lot.

Even the stupidest thieves know that stealing in your own backyard is a stupid idea. Far better to get the bus to Peacehaven, nick a car there then drive it back.

And Landport isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. Even Abergaveny is ok these days since all the council houses got sold off. The "Bad" bits of Lewes are still a million times nicer than the "nice" bits of somewhere like Salford.

There's nowt wrong wi Landport!! Sadly you can get s***e neighbours wherever you live who spoil it for everyone else. Everywhere in Lewes has bad sections that make others glad they dont live in those areas of the town but on the whole there is really no longer much to choose between the estates - the good bits are all good
