Odd busker

Has anyone noticed the odd old man who busks outside boots- someone with a great white beard. He plays a flute or pipe. But what is worrying is that he has lots of children's toys near his feet and tries to encourage young children to come near and play with them. It might be perfectly innocent, but to my eyes looks suspiciously like grooming by getting the little children to go near him and trust him.
Does anyone know anything about this guy and whether parents should be warned?

Don't let your children talk to anyone. Only let them use the Internet. And if you dislike anyone go on a public forum and half heartedly and anonymously make serious allegations against them, after all if they are doing this in the high street so they must be very covert predators. You are in grave danger so don't go out again.

I take it that this is a wind up post? No one is so neurotic to suspect that a busker is trying to groom kids in the middle of town with a penny whistle whilst their parents stand beside them... It's not chitty chitty f@cking bang bang you tool! My kid enjoyed playing the triangle today, and i gave the bloke 50p. It's called public entertainment. Involve the kids to encourage people to stop. Pay money as your kid has stopped and you have taken some of this man's time. Simple. I f@cking despair at some of the tw@ts on here... Honestly!

I bet this bloke isn't even homeless. I've heard of people pretending to be homeless just for the money, but this is just absolutely disgusting.
Has anyone reported him?

Jeez people, Santa decided to do something productive in his down time and you accuse him of being a kiddy fiddler!?!
What is wrong you with all!

Didn't you hear about the Santa Claus pedophile ring being run out of Lapland. Apparently he is exploiting underage workers and wild animals by recategorising them as elves and reindeer.

I saw this chap at the weekend. It doesn't sit right with me in terms of child protection. This man is a stranger on the street, encouraging children to play instruments with him and trust him - i.e. making him not a stranger. Does anyone know his history?

I've never heard a report of children being molested by a busker. I've heard lots of reports of children being abused by priests, teachers, scout masters, football coaches and relatives. Maybe we should brand them all as perverts too? The man is playing the flute in the middle of the street, not really a high risk is it?

OP Take your concerns to the Police. Make sure you leave your details so the can charge you for making false accusations. You are a disgrace, how would you feel if you were accused without evidence of something as heinous as being a child molester.

Anyone who would be so brazen as to 'play with ones own flute' in the middle of the street, should be locked up regardless of the frightening fact he is also enticing innocent young children to watch his disgusting acts by offering them his 'toys'. Dirty, dirty sod.

Weird responses from people. It doesn't hurt to ask. Seriously your "jokes" about parents who might be concerned are childish and after all the scandals, well one wonders....

First time I've looked into Lewes Forum. It'll be the last time too.
Apart from the sane people (aka adults) posting hilarious and scathing answers, the original post was as dumb as a bucket of sewerage.
Is the original post really typical of Lewes Forum's typical members? If so, it makes me feel that I am rapidly losing the will to live.

If you think that's bad you should read a few posts by Paul Newman, Sussex Jim or Pédrö, the last of whom is so bad you can't even type his name out in a post.

If anyone has any evidence that this man is actively trying to groom children they should take it to the police. You might as well include all the other buskers and street entertainers who obviously have evil designs on your children. I've seen this guy a lot. I can't stand what he plays, or the way he dresses, but that doesn't make him a paedophile. You really should be careful about your underhand accusations OP, you could find yourself with a libel suit. Anonymity does not protect you.

Its just some people being paranoid as some people are. "Guilty until proven innocent" attitude because in their mind they tick a couple of boxes and alarm bells go off.
