Looks like my beloved Borough could be comming to the end of the road, with half the commitee walking out. Usual story, infighting, egos, hissy fits etc.,we've been self destructing since the late sixties. But before the rest of you laugh your nuts off, this is not a good thing for bonfire in general. Lewes loses a society, one down six to go (ok 7 if you count S/over)just what the powers that be want. EAGM in three weeks. Anyone got a spare black and white guernsey?

Sorry to hear about that Avidfan, though their is rivalry amongst different societies it will be sad if Borough is lost to Lewes Bonfire. Especially as Borough started of as Lewes Bonfire and was the first society in Lewes (though Cliffe also claim that title.)
what is the specifics of the problem is it just at commitee level or have you lost a number of members recently (i heard you lost some to Southover),
On a different note I heard that there use to be a St Mary's Bonfire society, does anyone know when that ended and with the succesful reestablishing of Southover is there any chance of any new Bonfire Societies in Lewes (Phoenix Bonfire Society anyone?) or are we at capacity as it is.

Well me and both my mates were going to start a Chav bonfire society and wear bright red and white rugby shirts and clean white jeans and trainers. Trouble is the initials CBS is taken. I have found an old letter W so maybe I could think of something else. oggie oggie oggie.

A Chav Bonfire Society would be a good idea as it would help with policing to have them all in one area where they can be monitored. Lol.

You could dress up in burberry and set fire to a stolen nova in that lane behind the prison, so the rellies can see it.
Or maybe you're thinking celebrating by doing something different one night a year?
Howabout 'All Souls Bonfire Organisation'?
ASBO Boys has a satisfying ring to it, don't you think?

The Lewes grapevine is working well I see, except someone has got their facts all mixed up. LBBS and our glorious ZULUS will not be disappearing any time soon, so Avidfan, before you spread idle gossip perhaps you will stop and consider the implications, we are obviously not your beloved borough, so go spread gossip elsewhere. to all you true LBBS members and supporters i will see you at the dinner dance on saturday.
And thank you to C.B.S for their support in what they believed was our hour of need.

There is always a strong denial that something is to happen, just before it happens!!!!
