What sort of person privileged to live in our green and pleasant land would consider throwing bottles of urine at a public speaker? I do not know of this Katie Hopkins myself: but if she does not fit your opinions, why not just stay away?
It seems to be the case these days that anyone left wing can say what they like- but those with right wing views are shouted down and hounded out. I have lived through broadly equal proportions of both Conservative and Labour governments. Which is probably why we still have a free society today. Long may it continue.

@Englishman: I have no idea how old you are but we haven't had a Labour government since the 1970's and since then we've had more of the same. We've seen the social structure of this coutry ripped apart & our coutries wealth assett stripped offshore.
Please don't tell me that those with right wing views are shouted down. The only so-called left wing voice this country has ever had was the Morning Star. It was a thoughtless, paranoid puppet rag & a joke.
We have had a very right wing press in this country for nearly 50 years. Are you not concerned that our press is run by foreigners? There is very little ballance, nevermind one from a genuine British voice.
Please don't tell me the BBC is run by biased snowflake Leftists. It's not and even if it was, it would still not redress the balance. Just look at Boris Johnsons recent running parter. Look at the money behind the Brexit campaign (I wasn't totally against Brexit by the way), it was predominantly foreign. What do they want? I can guarantee it's not the prosperity of the British public.
There is a crazy rightwing president who is able to claim everything he doesn't like as 'fake'. Let's face facts, he's a brazen liar and a fantasist.
Things have got so 'right wing' that being called an Antifascist is an acceptable insult. Wow, how far we have sunk since the end of the war. My grandad (& my Dad) would be turning in his grave.
Sadly, all this tribal name calling, well it's pointless isn't it? Since the Banks crashed the economy; our assets, wealth and capital have happily been shifted to indentured labour dependent China, we're all stuffed. China rules.
Oh, throwing a bottle of urine isn't acceptable. It's disgusting but I wouldn't give that nasty oxygen thief the time of day. What matters is that the foreign owners of the Sun & the Mail can use a willing self publicist to forward their agenda & put her to good use demonising easy targets.
They are creating a world of horrors but it doesn't matter as long as there is aquick buck in it.
A bit like 1930's Europe.

Oh Dexter, please don't post these long boring comments. I'm sure I agree with you but all you do is make those opinions seem so tedious and unreadable and self-indulgent. Precision is the thing.

Thank you Dexter. Long overdo on this forum, or anywhere. This is the truth, sounding out all the devious deceptions of those that have no interest in fairness and the well being of ordinary people. How their money manipulates our reality is truly terrifying. At least the word Socialist is now getting a muted hearing having been banished by these odious manipulators for years. But then they call Corbyn's Labour that as a cat call when its aims are merely middle of the road compared with those of Attlee.

Sorry Clifford. I live in an alternative reality where nobody waits for Donald Trump to make his first announcement of the day from his toilet on Twitter.

It is shocking what's happened to BBC tv news. The government loses vote on Universal Credit. Is it even mentioned on BBC breakfast new? No. I switched over to ITV just out of curiosity and it was a lead story on their news.
