Whereabouts are you going? - I had a cracking time at Banff a couple of years ago.

I am from Alberta and know BC well. It is a good choice to go to BC for boarding, as Alberta's slopes were quite icy when I was there last week. Fernie is good, though no promises for next week.

Oh for cryin' out loud ib, get with the programme.
The skier/boarder antipathy thing is a bit out of date isn't it? I haven't heard that sort of comment since Little and Large were still on TV.

why do girly boarders get their own slopes and play parks, its about time we had our boarder free slopes, so we dont have to put up with their bad habits, sitting in the middle of the piste in gangs, sitting just over the brow of a hill so the cant be seen til its to late, on my last few trips the olny thing to run into me is, yes you guessed it a selfish boarder, we all have to learn but boarders dont seem to, just an observation e.t.

Here here. Bring back sledging in the local field, any old pallet or bag will do, rock bottom carbon footprint etc etc and no fancy dress or dodgy specs required.....

There's only one reason why boarders sit on the piste, its because they can. Sitting out of site is irresponsible granted, but I've run into skiers having a rest out of view many times. If they could sit down, they would have too. Learner boarders dont block the entire piste quite like those snakes of skiers do either. But that's ok, each to their own - if you don't like skiers on your piste, don't go snowboarding.
I'm not familiar with any resorts where 'boarders get their own slopes'. Sure, the parks were originally built for boarders but the broader minded skiers use them to great effect (don't you watch X-Games?). Mogul fields, on the other hand, are pretty well exclusively for skiers.
I never learnt to ski because it was always something only the kids with rich parents did, and I suspect the anti-snowboard thing is just a snobby hangover from those days. Mind you, I wouldn't mind having a go on those snow blades, they look like a laugh.

I lived in Lewes for more than 10 years waiting for a dump big enough to allow one (just one!) run on the downs, or better still down chapel hill. I bet you guys get one now I'm gone.

Hi there, planning a trip to fernie on the 23rd and was wondering what to expect? Have only been once before and that was to Andora. Used snow blades there, are they used in fernie? Thanks

300 is a great movie full of visual effects and graphics which made it different and much better.
Acting was great, director did a wonderful job and chose great actors, full of action, and it is based on a true story.

Why, Internet communication allows more freedom than the real one? Perhaps some blame my fear, or the ability to label themselves in the Internet masks, I do not know. What do you think about this?
