Should be renamed MORPHEUS cos it's a non-descript, plodding radio station that quickly puts you to sleep with boredom.
Let's face it... there's no shortage of local radio stations sozs why do we need another?
There's certainly not enough local news to keep it lively & interesting though I'm sure given time it will provide a platform for the usual handful of boring, lonely, desparate people to phone in and give us all the benefit of their views and extensive knowledge on any subject you care to mention.

Its to do with the licences that are issued. The newhaven/seahaven FM is only a trial at the mo and laughably can only be heard for a 3 mile radius because of the poxy arial!

Seahaven FM will be a small community radio station (if successful), the planned coverage is Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven, and the surrounding areas. Lewes is unlikely to get much if any signal. It will not provide, by any means, the sort of programming and coverage provided by commercial and BBC radio stations, and (surprisingly!) not everyone will like it. (Think Sky TV, not everyone has it, not everyone likes it, but you have a choice. Community Radio will provide another alternative, it's nice to have options, don't you think? The purpose of a community radio station is to provide the means for the local community (hence the name Community Radio) to get involved and air their views and promote their activities. Like em' or lump em Community radio is coming, no one know when, know one know how, but there are several stations in the area that are applying, good luck to all, and happy listening to the listeners, you may be surprised!!
