Does anyone know of a decent washing machine repair man who doesn't charge the earth?

And where is the nearest launderette?

nearest lauderette could well be Brighton road - opposite B&Q - Friday Ad worth trying - call the manufacturer - might get to talk to a techie if your lucky for a steer on the problem - good luck

Mine's also broken. In fact, I think it's beyond repair - it was smoking as it did it's final spin!
The nearest launderette is in Ringmer - 3 a go, but you don't need fabric conditioner as they have a water softner feeding the machines. Next nearest is the Sussex Uni - 2.20 a go, but you can only use them evenings since they are only for students. The dryers there are very good value.
Jeez, I sound really sad. Can you tell I'm too skint to get my machine replaced?!
I know a bloke who charges around 20 callout, but takes that off the repair charge. Can't remember his name though. Sorry.
