My mobile (Talkmobile, uses EE network I believe) has suddenly lost service.
Anyone else having problems?

Where are you ACT? I have a poor non-3G signal immediately below County Hall (which is where I think the mast is) but it's very up and down. A couple of days ago there was nothing for several hours.

Not working on the Nevill or Winterbourne or Southover.
I wondered if the fix they did the other week might have de-fixed itself. It was very sudden - full signal one minute, no service the next.

I've got one to two dots on an iPhone in Southover, but I am in direct line of sight of County Hall, and could see the two blokes working on it a couple of weeks ago!

I've simply taken to reporting it to my provider - also not EE but subcontracts - who seem to have a more effective way of getting news. If you search online for reported outages EE simply deny there's a problem, which seem a neat trick if you can get away with it.

Actually, I've just realised - it's my work phone that's not working, which is on Orange.
My own phone (Talkmobile) seems pretty reliable.

Have to say that snafu is an acronym for Situation Normal All Fouled Up. What is more annoying, my pedantry or mobile phones ? Should that be which is more annoying.....

Kevin Bacon needs telling ! He got all their money, it's all spent on hype and advertising NOT on infrastructure or service. After all we really did survive without mobiles and will do again.

I've survived without my mobile phone for over 10 months. My mobile broke & I haven't replaced it yet.
I'm seeing how long I can hold out. I feel tons better for it.
The main reason for my doing without a M-Phone are all the unsolicited marketing calls I was getting each day it was getting unbearable. If my family or friends truly want to get in touch with me they will find another way like a landline. I'm a little annoyed at having to make that decision though, it feels as though I was driven to it. Every turn I make there's a 'New Banking App' or something else thats reliant on your having a so called 'Smart Phone'..
They're really not so Smart you know. They're just as fallible as anything else.
