Why is it that every thread at the moment seems to have someone like Old bike or Old lewes moaning about threads being hijacked by the likes of Pedro before they have even written anything.
Personally I find their constant badgering and moaning far more irritating than anything Pedro has ever written.
Forums are there for debate, not everyone will agree with each other, which is parting the point.

I agree, the constant attacks on Pedro et al. are much more annoying than his? pontificating.

I think it's because Pedros opponents have so little confidence in their opinions that they find they have to attack him rather than rationally debate what he has to say.
Pedro talks a lot more sense than most of the people that moan about him and before you pull that one Old Bike/Lewes, I am not Pedro

None of the threads that newms etc contribute to can be called discussion. They are one sided trolling rants. As for pedro, he calls anyone who disagrees with him a troll and starts banging on about registration whilst clearly using multiple names himself. There are plenty of politics forums where their copious outpourings may be appreciated more. When does newms ever contribute to a thread about specifically lewes or local issues?

"Clearly using multiple names himself". I really have no reason to do that. I'm quite content and happy with my username and my views, and I'd be more than willing for webbo to do IP checks on my posts against any other username on these boards you deem suspicious. I can assure you, you are mistaken.

I label people "trolls" who purposely attack individuals personally and persistently rather than discussing the topics and subjects at hand. I think its clear from other users on this forum that I'm subjected to trolling, so I'm not imagining it. As I said before, I'm not going to yield to pressure from anonymous trolls.

You can simply scroll past the posts you do not wish to read. This forum is probably one of the last bastions of free speech, and long may this situation continue.

If you don’t read things you don’t like, you can’t be swayed by an opposing argument.
Of course, it’s pretty much impossible to know if you like a post without reading it, but that’s just a technicality that only people with critical analysis skills would question, and they’re too educated to have a proper opinion anyway, so screw ‘em.
I challenge anyone to find an easier way to maintain the bigoted and ignorant world view us ‘yesterday men’ hang on to.
